Pineapple Lemonade

Today I'm giving you the recipe for the Pineapple Lemonade I made for the last Miss Manners party...and making a little confession. We'll start with the confession. I don't always road test a recipe before featuring it at a party or dinner. Sometimes it works out, sometimes - it doesn't. This was a little of both.

I had seen this punch recipe on Facebook and someone called it the BEST punch recipe EVER, and since it had pineapple juice in it, I thought, "Why not?".  Well, I got all the ingredients, had them chilled and prepped and then had my mother mix it up as the girls were arriving. We gave it a little taste test and immediately puckered up! It was SOUR! We quickly added a good bit of sugar, and it was fine. I probably should have guessed that if a lemon and a pineapple got married, they'd have a sour baby named lemondrop!

So what I'm giving you today is my improvised version of the recipe. I'll still probably make it again.

Pineapple Lemonade

1 cup Countrytime Lemonade powder
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups cold water
1 can (46 oz.) chilled pineapple juice
3 cups chilled Sprite

Dissolve lemonade and sugar in the water. Mix lemonade mixture, pineapple juice and sprite in a punch bowl and serve cold or over ice. Adjust sugar to taste.

Several of the girls asked for water, but those who liked the punch, loved it. I liked it a lot after we rewrote the recipe!

Tomorrow I finish up the Miss Manners party by giving you the recipe for my Krispy Cheese Wafers.

I.Love.These!

I'm so glad you stopped by my neck of the woods!
